Cute hotel right in the center of town. Def best spot to stay if you are going to mystic. Not giving 5 stars because amenities are somewhat dated, you have to remember to lock your own hotel room door, and the fire alarm also blasted us awake at 8AM sat morning. Otherwise i will still stand by it being the best place to stay in mystic
The historic Whaler's Inn is a marvelous place to stay in Mystic. Literally across the street from the famous drawbridge, the location is stellar. It's less than a mile from the Mystic Seaport, and only slightly further to the Mystic Aquarium and Old Mystick Village. It's in the middle of the town of Mystic (at the bridge) so it's walking distance to all those quaint shops. Mystic Pizza is a three minute walk away. The hotel itself is wonderful. Historic, but updated. The rooms are magnificent. Some with their own fireplace. The service is wonderful. It doesn't have a pool, gym, or spa, but doesn't need it. The charm of the hotel is enough. It's a highly recommended place to stay.
My boyfriend and I stayed here in November. The staff were very nice and informative. The free breakfast was okay, nothing great but it's free and cheaper than the expensive breakfast places around mystic. Overall, the room was nice. Small and the bayhroom smaller. The shower took about 5 minutes to warm up. No mini fridge in the rooms. Not strong ventilation in the bathroom. Construction was going on so parking was a bit tough. Overall, we loved our experience at the whalers inn, close to a lot of nearby shops and restaurants and would stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay, the staff was super helpful and everything was done by perfection. The breakfast is a bit small for the guests they had no scrambled eggs or waffles or pancakes. It was clean and I was impressed with the comfort of the beds. Walking distance to shopping dining and cafes. We will definitely stay here again. We had the upgraded room the bathroom was so clean and fresh and the tub was huge, it was also a Jacuzzi tube very hard to get in and out of if we were an elderly couple. One of the finer places I have stayed in for upgraded rooms. Thanks for the awesome visit.
The Whaler's Inn is right across the street from the drawbridge. Location is perfect! We are currently in the Home House section of the hotel. No elevator, but beautiful room that is very spacious and clean. I love coming here and I am a repeat customer.
